Great Britain racer Robert Lambert heads for Cardiff in red-hot form after racking up 16 paid 17 points for Torun as they drew 45-45 at home to Wroclaw in the PGE Ekstraliga on Sunday.

Lambert roars into the FIM Speedway GP of Great Britain – Cardiff this Saturday, chasing a big performance in front of his own fans.

And he certainly delivered that in front of his supporters in Poland as he piled up the points from seven rides, as well as leading Pawel Przedpelski to a 4-2 over their Speedway GP rivals Tai Woffinden and Maciej Janowski in heat 15 to rescue Torun a point.

Przedpelski also starred for Torun on 12, with Patryk Dudek racking up 11 paid 12 points, while Jack Holder collected two paid three.

The result sees Torun hold fourth place in the final pre-play-off PGE Ekstraliga standings, meaning they face Gorzow in the quarter finals, with Wroclaw earning a date with Czestochowa.

Table-topping Lublin faces sixth-placed Leszno. The Goats signed off their regular season with a thumping 59-31 win at home to Gorzow.

Former world No.2 Jaroslaw Hampel led the Lublin charge on 12 paid 13, with Maksym Drabik adding 11 paid 14; Dominik Kubera scoring 11 paid 13, and Wiktor Lampart registering 11 paid 12. Danish racer Mikkel Michelsen notched nine paid 11.
